Patricia Gregory was married to a military officer for over twenty years. After a less than stellar experience with her own divorce in Family Court, she decided to attend law school to help others avoid the pitfalls she herself faced. During her first year in law school, she successfully appealed her child support order that was undervalued by the Court.
During law school she worked for a number of San Diego's leading attorneys as a paralegal, where she learned the 'nuts and bolts' of a family law pratice. After graduation, she worked for the Bureau of Child Support Enforcement under the San Diego District Attorney's office which then became the Department of Child Support Services.
She began her own law practice with an emphasis in Family Law.
Eventually the need to branch out into probate to include guardianships, wills and trusts became the next logical step.
Patricia spends a significant amount of time working with pro bono cases, to include domestic violence victims. Interestingly, the victims are gender neutral, as she has represented both male and female victims. She also has experience in defending DVTROs for both male and female defendants.
Of great help is her MBA, which allows Patricia to better understand the financial aspects of divorce which can become quite complicated.
She currently teaches graduate level courses in Business Law and Ethics.
